Top 10 stocks with the largest increase/decrease this week: One stock soars up to 70%

The top 10 stocks with the highest gains on the HOSE stock exchange saw an impressive increase ranging from 14% to 34%.

The Vietnamese stock market has had an exciting week with active liquidity and a lively cash flow. This is the 4th consecutive week of gains, and the increase this week is the strongest, with Vn-Index up 46.28 points (+3.82%) and closing at 1,258.28 points.

On the HOSE exchange, the group of stocks with the strongest increase had a dominating rise compared to the group with a decrease. The top 10 stocks with the highest increase recorded a maximum increase of 34% and a minimum increase of 12%.

Stock SFG of Southern Fertilizer Joint Stock Company. After a period of fluctuating below par, this stock continuously broke out to reach 15,000 VND/share, a 34% increase after a week of trading and the highest level in the past 20 months. The liquidity of this stock has also improved significantly from an average of a few thousand to tens of thousand shares matched in a session.

Following the breakout, stock FTS of FPT Securities also attracted attention with a continuous sharp increase to 58,000 VND – the highest level ever recorded. Looking further, this securities stock has increased 3.5 times in the past year.

Stock Gemadept (code GMD) has made a strong breakout to conquer a new historical high at the price of 80,500 VND/share. The liquidity has also increased significantly compared to the average level as the trading volume reached nearly 3 million units.

In the declining session, a series of stocks on HOSE recorded a common decrease of 4% to 16%, in which the strongest selling pressure was at stock ST8.

On the HNX exchange, the top 10 stocks with the highest increase also had an increase from 11-20%. The stocks with the increase were mainly small stocks with high speculative nature.

On the UPCOM exchange, due to wider trading range, a series of stocks also increased from 21% to 70% in the past week.

The strongest gainer of the week is TMW stock of Tan Mai Wood Comprehensive Joint Stock Company which hit the limit-up for 4 sessions in the week. The stock price has surged by 70% in a week to reach 10,900 VND/share. Tan Mai Wood is one of the oldest wood producing and trading units in the South, with a history dating back to 1905 under French management. On the other hand, in the past week, many stocks on UPCOM also recorded a decrease ranging from 21% to 39%.
