On February 29th, the Vietnam Lottery Company (Vietlott) awarded a Jackpot prize of 55.8 billion VND to Mr. D.H.

Vietlott confirmed that Mr. D.H. won the Jackpot prize of the Mega 6/45 lottery on February 23rd. The winning ticket had the numbers 04 – 17 – 19 – 27 – 28 – 36 and was worth 55.8 billion VND.

Mr. D.H. is from Lam Dong province and currently resides in Ho Chi Minh City. He shared that he bought the ticket while hanging out with friends, hoping for good luck at the start of the new year.

On that day, he bought one ticket for the Mega 6/45 game and two tickets for the Power 6/55 game. It has been Mr. D.H.’s habit to buy only a few tickets at a time for daily entertainment and a chance at winning.

Mr. D.H. receiving the Jackpot prize

“While I was on the way, I received a text message notifying me of the win. At first, I thought it was a small prize because I often win prizes worth 30,000 and 50,000 VND in the other lottery games. It wasn’t until I got home, carefully checked the message and verified it on the website, as well as received a call from Vietlott’s representative, that I officially believed that I had won the Jackpot worth over 55.8 billion VND,” Mr. D.H. recounted.

After learning about the win, he informed his family members. He stated that he will use a portion of the prize money to expand his business, another portion for his family’s well-being, and the remaining portion for real estate investments.

During the award ceremony, Mr. D.H. donated 660 million VND to the Vietnamese Talent Fund to support social welfare initiatives.

According to regulations, Mr. D.H. is obligated to pay personal income tax in the province of Lam Dong, where he participated in the lottery, for the total value of more than 5.5 billion VND (10% of the amount exceeding 10 million VND), which will be deducted immediately upon receiving the prize.
