Top 10 Stocks with the Largest Price Increase/Decrease of the Week: Numerous Stocks Surge Ahead of Shareholder Meetings, One Stock Skyrockets by 92% in Just One Week

The HOSE stock market has witnessed impressive growth in the top 10 performing stocks, with the highest increase reaching up to 26% and the lowest at 7%.

The stock market in Vietnam recorded a lot of fluctuations in the trading week from 4-8 March, with strong profit-taking pressure and a surge in liquidity in the final session. VN-Index decreased by 10.93 points (-0.87%) to 1,247.35 points compared to the previous week.

On HOSE exchange, the group of stocks with the highest increase dominated over the group of stocks with decreases. The top 10 stocks with the highest increase on the exchange recorded a highest increase of 26% and a lowest increase of 7%.

VRC shares of VRC Real Estate and Investment Corporation, after a period of stagnation, suddenly “surged” with 3 consecutive ceiling price trading sessions to reach 9,870 VND per share, an increase of 26% after a week of trading and the highest level in the past 6 months. The liquidity of this stock surged in the final trading session with over 400 thousand shares matched, while the average is only a few thousand to tens of thousands.

VRC shares took off before the company’s business deadline on March 27, the last day of registration to organize the annual general meeting 2024 to approve important contents such as the business plan for 2024, profit distribution ratio, Board of Directors’ remuneration plan, and selection of BCTC audit unit for 2024. Besides, this real estate company also approved the transfer of the owned shares of VRC Real Estate and Investment Corporation at Mỹ Xuân Port Service Joint Stock Company and proposed to transfer a part of the ADC Residential Area project in Ho Chi Minh City to ADEC Joint Stock Company.

In addition, securities group stocks like AGR, CTS also increased sharply thanks to the effect of the Government’s determination to upgrade the market and the KRX trading system is beginning to be tested.

In the decrease trend, a series of stocks on HOSE recorded a common decrease of 7% to 17%, in which the strongest selling pressure was at NO1 stock.

On HNX exchange, the top 10 stocks with the highest increase also had an increase from 14% to 49%. The stocks with an increase were mainly small stocks with high speculative characteristics.

On UPCOM exchange, due to wider trading range, a series of stocks also increased from 21% to 70% in the past week.

The stock with the strongest increase last week was ICF of Seafood Trading Investment Corporation with a ceiling price increase of 92% to 5,700 VND per share. Looking wider, this stock has increased 2.3 times since the end of February until now. Recently, ICF also announced that March 29 is the deadline to participate in the annual general meeting 2024.
