Rumors have been swirling about the upcoming iPhone 16 lineup for quite some time now, and with its expected fall release just around the corner, we’re finally getting our first real look at the device thanks to a series of leaked images.
The latest batch of images, which have been circulating on social media, continue to show that the iPhone 16 will feature a dramatic design change after years of incremental updates, complete with a gorgeous purple color option.

Shared on Chinese social media platform X, the purported iPhone 16 renders show off an impressive rear camera setup with a continuous vertical bump. The camera design is reminiscent of a cross between the iPhone X and iPhone 11, with two vertically stacked lenses housed in a square module.
The iPhone 16 renders also showcase a beautiful purple color that exudes youth and sophistication. With each new generation of iPhone, Apple typically introduces a few new color options, and this helps to keep the lineup fresh and entice buyers. As such, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the iPhone 16 launch with a captivating purple option when it’s officially unveiled in September.

According to MacRumors, sources claim that Apple is considering multiple design changes for the iPhone 16, along with a new color palette.
Citing sources from Fixed Focus Digital, the iPhone 16 is said to come in the following colors: pink, gold, blue, green, black, white, and purple. Compared to the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus that Apple released in 2023, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus would gain two new color options in white and purple. The report also suggests that the shades of some of the other colors could be slightly tweaked.
Previously, leaker ShrimpApplePro claimed that Apple would be bringing back the Space Black and Rose color options while discontinuing the Blue Titanium color.
The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are expected to be announced this fall. Until then, everything is still up in the air until Apple confirms all at its new iPhone launch event.
