The topic of this year’s AFF is “Building a Fast, Sustainable, People-Centered ASEAN Community”.

Deputy Minister Do Hung Viet said that this ASEAN Future Forum will focus on discussing how to harmonize between development and environmental protection, climate change response, ensuring social security and how to always put people at the center of all development policies of each country as well as the region.

The forum will also cover issues related to economic cooperation, investment, and trade with the participation of businesses.

In addition to the plenary sessions, the Forum will hold a separate session for the business community with the theme of seizing opportunities to develop in the context of the current digital transformation. This is a meeting co-chaired by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone, with the participation of experts in the field as well as many Vietnamese, ASEAN, and partner countries’ enterprises.

“I think this will be a precious opportunity for businesses to exchange, share about the advantages, difficulties, and opportunities that businesses can take advantage of in the context of digital transformation today. It is also a very good opportunity for businesses to connect, build new networks, and take advantage of the opportunities brought about by digital transformation for their business operations”, said Deputy Minister Do Hung Viet.

Deputy Minister Do Hung Viet believes that this Forum will be successfully organized and create momentum for Vietnam to continue organizing the Forum in the years to come.
