These days, the construction units of the North-South Expressway section Dien Chau – Bai Vot are working day and night, striving to complete the project on schedule, for traffic opening on April 28.

The Dien Chau – Bai Vot Expressway is expected to open approximately 30km from the National Highway 7 junction in Dien Cat commune, Dien Chau district to the National Highway 46B junction in Hung Tay commune, Hung Nguyen district (Nghe An). The North-South Expressway project, Dien Chau – Bai Vot section, is 49.3 km long, passing through 2 provinces, Nghe An (44.4 km) and Ha Tinh (4.9 km), with a total investment of over VND 11,150 billion, invested in the form of public-private partnership (PPP).

The project enterprise is Phuc Thanh Hung Investment Joint Stock Company. The project investor is a consortium of Hoa Hiep Co., Ltd. – CIENCO 4 Group Joint Stock Company – Nui Hong Investment Co., Ltd. – Truong Son Construction Corporation – VINA2 Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company.

The Dien Chau – Bai Vot Expressway passes through the Than Vu tunnel (through the Than Vu mountain range) which is more than 1km long in Dien Chau district (Nghe An).

Since the Than Vu tunnel, passing through the Than Vu mountain range, has a high altitude, the expressway when passing through here is built on hundreds of reinforced concrete pillars, from 20 to 50m high.

O O Bridge (Nghi Loc district) connects the expressway with the Than Vu tunnel.
