The Government Office has just announced the conclusion of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha at a meeting to arrange the resettlement of affected households by the Bien Hoa – Vung Tau expressway project and the T1, T2 traffic route connecting to the residential area, the resettlement of Loc An – Binh Son (belonging to the land acquisition, compensation, support, and resettlement project of the Long Thanh international airport port).
The announcement clearly states that in Resolution No. 95 on approving the feasibility study report of the Long Thanh International Airport construction investment project, phase 1 (the Project), the National Assembly has added 2 road traffic routes connecting to the Project (lines T1 and T2).
The People’s Committee of Dong Nai province reviews and updates fully and accurately the data on land acquisition, compensation, support, and resettlement of T1 and T2 connecting traffic routes, clarifies the financial plan, refunding the central budget… to carry out resettlement arrangement in accordance with the legal provisions.
“Do not propose to arrange resettlement for households affected by the Bien Hoa – Vung Tau Highway project in the resettlement residential area of Loc An – Binh Son,” the conclusion stated.
Besides, the Deputy Prime Minister also requested the People’s Committee of Dong Nai province and the Ministry of Planning and Investment to urgently complete the submission to the Government before April 30 on adjusting the feasibility study report of the land acquisition, compensation, support, and resettlement project of the Long Thanh International Airport to disburse capital in time in 2024.
The Ministry of Transport is assigned to preside over and coordinate with Dong Nai province, relevant ministries, and agencies, and the Economic Committee of the National Assembly, to report to the Standing Committee of the National Assembly for consideration and comments on clause 2 of document No. 768 of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, ensuring compliance with Resolution No. 53 of the National Assembly.
Long Thanh International Airport has a total estimated investment of approximately VND 336,630 billion, divided into three phases. According to the plan, phase 1 of the project is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2026.
