The Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee has submitted a report to the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Council on the list of land revocation projects for socio-economic development for national and public interests in the city.

This is to timely implement land revocation projects in 2024, meeting the socio-economic development needs of the locality, based on the approved planning and land use plans, and the legal documents of the projects that meet the requirements.

The Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee proposes land revocation for the Xuyen Tam Canal project in 2024

Accordingly, there are 13 projects that need to be registered for land revocation in 2024, with a total area of nearly 28 hectares.

In addition, there are 19 projects that need to be revoked according to the List of land revocation projects in the resolutions of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Council, but have passed the deadline of 3 years without a decision on land revocation. Now, the land revocation will be carried out with a total area of nearly 113 hectares.

The Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee stated that these projects are public works serving the essential needs of the locality in the process of socio-economic development and urban development.

Through review, the city has found that these projects have sufficient legal basis to be implemented in 2024 (investment decision has been made; annual public investment plan; these projects are still undergoing the next steps to complete the procedures for land revocation, land transfer and lease, and land use purpose conversion as regulated).

Therefore, the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee proposes the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Council consider and approve the above report as a basis for land revocation, land transfer and lease, and land use purpose conversion.

After being approved by the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Council, the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee will direct the departments, branches, and local authorities to implement land revocation.

Some projects include the dredging and infrastructure construction of the North Bank Canal in District 8; dredging and environmental infrastructure improvement of the Xuyen Tam Canal in Binh Thanh District and Go Vap District; construction of Belt Road 2 (from Vo Nguyen Giap Street to Pham Van Dong Street) in Thu Duc City…
