Utilizing technology in organizations, job placement for workers is a trend that service providers actively implement. Especially combining the organization of online job fairs to connect localities with each other.

INCREASING JOB OPPORTUNITIES FOR WORKERS IN MANY LOCATIONS

As a regular organization that coordinates online job fairs with localities, Mr. Vu Quang Thanh, Deputy Director of Hanoi Employment Service Center said that since the beginning of the year, the center has connected with 8 provinces and organized online job fairs, with recruitment targets of over 44,000 positions.

Usually, each online fair will have participation from 8 or more localities, with tens of thousands of recruitment targets from businesses.

According to Mr. Thanh, through the activities of the online job fair, the Employment Service Centers themselves have interconnected, exchanged, and shared databases, helping the labor market between provinces and cities to be closer.

At the same time, it provides the best support for businesses to have many candidates to easily recruit, as well as workers to have more opportunities to find suitable jobs with reasonable salaries and corresponding benefits.

From the perspective of businesses, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hong, Deputy Administrative Organization Manager of Hanoi Entertainment Services Joint Stock Company, said that organizing online job markets will create conditions for businesses to access a larger market.

Because if only recruiting directly, workers will have to go to the place for interviews and submit resumes, but through online markets, businesses can interview candidates from anywhere, thus access to a diverse labor force.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan, Deputy Director of the Recruitment and Training Department of VNPT Building Management and Operations Joint Stock Company, also noted that currently through the combination of direct and online job fairs will be more effective, information is widely spread to workers in different locations.

“This creates conditions for workers in provinces and cities who cannot come directly to the job market to also have the opportunity to access jobs in locations suitable for their needs,” Ms. Lan said.

ATTRACTING IMMEDIATELY, “RETAINING” LONG-TERM

Thanks to the effectiveness, in larger job markets, online connections in job creation are still being promoted. Deputy Director of Hanoi Employment Service Center Vũ Quang Thanh, currently in addition to regular daily job fairs, the center also synchronizes online connections between the main market and 14 satellite markets throughout the districts and towns in the city.

Through the satellite job markets, they have contributed to providing information and connecting labor supply and demand, meeting the maximum job needs of many labor groups, from young people to unemployed workers…

Enterprises, training institutions, and workers have the opportunity to meet and exchange. Therefore, workers are advised, and job orientations are given, giving workers more opportunities to find suitable jobs and training.

Experts also expect that with the effective organization of online job markets connecting localities through the application of technology, it will also be one of the important conditions for moving towards the establishment of a national job market connecting all provinces and cities nationwide.

Mr. Do Duc Chi, Deputy General Director of Nhan Kiet Human Resources Supply Company, said that when there is a job market connected nationwide, this will be a legitimate channel for workers to be able to find the desired business to work for, suitable for their abilities in different locations.

Then, all information is ensured and verified, avoiding the situation where recruitment information is “fake” making workers deceived, which has become distorted on recruitment websites.

Along with the application of technology to increase the effectiveness of job connections, experts believe that the most important thing to attract and retain workers is still the welfare system. Because when using technology, diversifying recruitment forms, businesses can attract a large number of workers but to work in the long term, it is the benefits.

According to Mr. Do Duc Chi, when recruitment connections between localities are conveniently done thanks to technology, it also raises competition in attracting workers in different localities. In fact, some localities have offered incentives such as support for house rent or training costs for workers for businesses to attract workers to work.

“Therefore, the issue to be concerned about is the need for balanced labor attraction, not bringing too many workers to one locality because this issue is still related to social security and order, not just bringing workers into factories,” Mr. Chi shared.

Above all, businesses need to ensure policies and regimes for workers, such as participating in social insurance.

“Because if workers are disadvantaged, they will move to other factories, from there businesses will not keep their labor force even though they have taken the effort to train them. Meanwhile, training a worker at a simple level takes a few weeks, if it is difficult, it takes a few months,” Mr. Do Duc Chi worried.

This is the reality that workers are experiencing. Through surveys, collecting information from workers, Mr. Vu Quang Thanh also said that in addition to salary levels, at present, most workers when seeking work also study in detail welfare policies such as participating in social insurance, health insurance, allowances, working conditions, promotion opportunities…

“This is a significant change in the job-seeking trend of workers, especially those with skills and professional qualifications,” Mr. Thanh added.
