Poorest province in Central Vietnam ranks top 3 in highest car purchases, surpassing Quang Ninh and Binh Duong…

Hanoi leads the list of provinces with the highest number of car purchases, with 46,330 units, followed by Ho Chi Minh City with 39,132 units, Nghệ An with 10,304 units, Đồng Nai with 10,080 units, and Thanh Hóa with 9,885 units.

Among the provinces and cities with a large number of poor households, Nghệ An is one of the localities that have the highest number of car purchases in the years 2021, 2022, and 2023; even more than wealthy localities such as Quảng Ninh, Hải Phòng, Đà Nẵng, and Bình Dương…

The remaining provinces in the top 10 are Bình Dương with 8,967 units, Hải Phòng with 8,631 units, Bắc Ninh with 6,934 units, Đà Nẵng with 6,845 units, and Quảng Ninh with 6,694 units.

The provinces with the fewest car purchases, less than 1,000 units per year, include Lai Châu with 535 units, Bắc Cạn with 550 units, Cao Bằng with 716 units, Điện Bên with 725 units, Hà Giang with 820 units, Kon Tum with 864 units, and Bạc Liêu with 958 units.

In addition, Nghệ An receives a large amount of remittances sent by overseas workers every year. Meanwhile, the price of cars is becoming more affordable for a significant portion of the population.
