Hanoi: Golf Club Owner Minh Tri Fined Over 345 Million VND

Hanoi Golf Club was fined over 345 million VND for administrative violations in the field of environment and water resources. Known as the owner of the 27-hole Minh Tri golf course (located in Thai Lai Village, Minh Tri Commune), Hanoi Golf Club had to face this penalty.

The People’s Committee of Hanoi has issued a decision on administrative penalties for violations in the field of Environmental Protection against Hanoi Golf Club Joint Stock Company (Hanoi Golf Club – located at

Thai Lai village

, Minh Tri commune, Soc Son district, Hanoi) for not having an environmental license as required (for facilities that must have an environmental license according to the regulations under the authority of the Provincial People’s Committee).

According to the regulations in point c, clause 3, Article 14

Decree 45/2022/ND-CP

dated July 7, 2022 of the Government on administrative penalties in the field of environmental protection, Hanoi Golf Club Joint Stock Company is fined VND 320 million.

The additional penalty is to require the Company to comply with the regulations in point a, clause 5, Article 14 of Decree 45/2022/ND-CP dated July 7, 2022 of the Government within a period of 3 months from the date the Company receives the decision.

Previously, on October 20, 2023, the Inspectorate of the Hanoi Department of Natural Resources and Environment also issued Decision No. 632/QD-XPHC against the Company for the act of exploiting and using water resources without registration or permits as prescribed in cases of water exploitation, underground water use for production and business activities, services with a flow rate of over 10m3/day to under 30m3/day.

In accordance with the provisions of clause 3, Article 9 and clause 1, Article 5

Decree 36/2020/ND-CP

dated March 24, 2020 of the Government on administrative penalties for violations in the field of Water Resources and Minerals, the Company is fined VND 15 million.

At the same time, the company is required to return the amount of illegally obtained benefits from the violation of the regulations in point a, clause 10, Article 9 of Decree 36/2020/ND-CP, which is VND 10,304,780.
