Xiaomi stated that the UV glue used to secure the screen protector can seep into sensitive areas such as buttons, charging ports, speaker holes, causing issues such as sudden restarts, abnormal button operation, or even damage to the device’s shell.
More importantly, Xiaomi emphasized that using this type of screen protector may void your device’s warranty. This means that any repair costs resulting from damage caused by the screen protector application process will be your responsibility.
Although experienced users may successfully apply the UV glue screen protector, there is still a risk of incorrect installation.
