After more than 6 months of starting the bidding package 4.6 – construction, installation of equipment for the Runway, Taxiway and Apron of Long Thanh International Airport, the Runway (the strip) has taken shape.
Vietnam Airport Corporation (ACV) and the consortium of contractors are accelerating progress and determined to complete the project before April 30, 2025, 3 months ahead of the set plan.
The Long Thanh airport runway is 4,000m long, 70m wide and can accommodate the most advanced aircraft
ACV has directed the consortium of contractors to mobilize more than 350 machinery and equipment and nearly 1,500 engineers and workers, maximizing the weather conditions and implementing construction effectively.
So far, the construction of the runway has closely followed the progress, basically completing the groundwork, sand foundation; the layer of crushed stone has been completed over 70%.
