This means that compared to the 2020 report (3,359 hectares), the area of land for social housing development has increased by an additional 5,252 hectares.

Specifically, some localities are concerned with planning land funds for social housing development, such as Dong Nai with 1,063 hectares, Ho Chi Minh City with 608 hectares, Long An with 577 hectares, Hai Phong with 471 hectares, and Hanoi with 412 hectares.

– Projects that have started construction: 129 projects with a scale of 114,934 units.

Some localities have not had specific “dynamics”.

However, some key localities, despite having a great demand for social housing, are still limited in terms of investment compared to the targets of the Project by 2025. For example, Hanoi with 3 projects and 1,700 units, Ho Chi Minh City with 7 projects and 4,996 units, Da Nang with 5 projects and 2,750 units, or some localities that have not started the construction of social housing projects from 2021 until now, such as Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Vinh Phuc, Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh, Quang Ngai, Quang Binh, Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Long An, Vinh Long, Soc Trang.

According to reports, 28 localities have announced a list of 68 projects eligible for loans under the VND 120 trillion credit program, with a loan demand of over VND 30 trillion.

So far, banks have committed to providing credit for 15 projects with an amount of about VND 7 trillion, including 8 social housing projects in 7 localities that have been disbursed with a capital of about VND 640 billion.
